BAKED BEANS AND SPARE RIBS 
2 c. sm. pea beans
1/2 lb. salt pork, cut up
3/4 c. molasses
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 med. onion, chopped
2 c. hot water
1 lb. spare ribs, country style

Inspect beans; cover with cold water and boil about 1 hour; drain. Put beans in crock pot. Add onion and salt pork. In a saucepan mix the molasses, sugar, salt, and hot water; stir to dissolve. Pour this mixture over the beans. Place the spare ribs on top. Cover the crock pot. Set on high temperature for 7 1/2 to 8 hours.
