MACARONI LOAF 
2 c. uncooked macaroni elbows
2 c. fresh bread, broken in sm. pieces & soaked in 1/2 c. scalded milk
1/4 lb. butter
3 eggs, beaten
1/4 - 1/2 c. finely cut onion
1/3 c. finely cut green pepper
Salt & paprika
1 c. grated cheese (American) or cut into very sm. pieces

Mix and bake in well buttered loaf pan or casserole. Place in larger pan containing about 1" of water. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Ladle hot, slightly thickened tomato soup over each serving. Serves 6 to 8.
