NANAINCO BARS 
2 sq. Baker's semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 c. softened butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. graham, wafer crumbs
1 c. angel flake coconut
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Melt chocolate over hot water. Combine with butter, sugar, vanilla and egg. Mix well. Add graham crumbs, coconut and chopped walnuts. Press into 9-inch square pan and chill.

FILLING:

2 tbsp. Birds custard powder
3 tbsp. milk
1/4 c. butter
2 c. 10X sugar

Mix together custard powder and milk. Add butter. Beat in sugar. Spread over crust; chill 15 minutes.

TOPPING:

4 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
1 tbsp. butter

Melt chocolate and butter over hot water. Spread over custard layer; chill. Makes 3 dozen bars.
