RHUBARB OATMEAL BARS 
1 1/2 c. unsifted all purpose flour
1 1/2 c. old fashioned rolled oats
1 c. firmly rolled oats
1 c. firmly packed light-brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
3 c. thickened Rhubarb Sauce
1/4 c. chopped walnuts

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease 13 x 9 inch baking pan. In medium- size bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add softened butter and stir with fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Press half of crumb mixture into bottom of greased pan. Spread Rhubarb Sauce evenly onto crumb layer. Top with remaining crumbs and chopped walnuts.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until top is golden brown and rhubarb mixture is bubbly. Cool to room temperature before cutting.

Makes 24 bars or 12 dessert squares.
