BETTY BLYTHE'S KIDNEY BEAN
CASSEROLE
 
Fry 1 pound hamburg.

Add:

1 lg. can red kidney beans
1 lg. can tomatoes (drained)

Simmer for 10 minutes.

In a casserole put half of above mixture. Cover with 1 onion sliced thin.

Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons brown sugar. Repeat with remaining bean mixture, another onion and 3 tablespoons sugar.

Cover with 1/4 pound bacon slices.

Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Serves 6.
