MARSHMALLOW FUDGE BARS 
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. cocoa

1/2 c. shortening

3/4 c. sugar

2 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition

Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well.

1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Spread in greased and floured 12 x 8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cover top of bars with 12 soft marshmallows cut in half, return to oven 3 minutes or until marshmallows are soft. Spread with spatula over top until even and smooth. Cover with easy chocolate frosting.

EASY CHOCOLATE FROSTING:

1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. water
2 sqs. chocolate

Bring to a boil. Cook 3 minutes.

3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cool.

1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar

Spread over top of marshmallows. Cut into bars. (to make your own chocolate square - use 3 tablespoons cocoa and 1 tablespoon oil or shortening).

Makes 16 bars.
