ORIENTAL CABBAGE SALAD | |
1/2 head cabbage (or sm. cabbage) 2 chicken breasts, cooked 4-5 green onions 1/2 c. slivered almonds, roasted 3 tbsp. sesame seeds, roasted Chicken flavor Ramen noodles SAUCE: 1/2 c. Sunlight oil 3 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. pepper 3 tbsp. rice wine (sweet cooking - Kikkoman Aji-mirin) Sauce: Make sauce 1/2 hour or more before mixing it into salad. Mix oil, sugar, pepper, seasoning packet from Ramen noodles, and Kikkoman brand rice wine. (You must use this brand or it does not taste as good.) Stir occasionally so sugar will dissolve. Salad: Chop cabbage and onions. Debone and dice chicken. Add to cabbage. Roast the almonds and sesame seeds and add to salad. Crunch Ramen noodles. Mix all this together. Add sauce to cabbage mixture and mix well. Let this set approximately 1/2 hour before serving. Enjoy. |
