CHOCOLATE MINT PATTIES 
1 lb. confectioners' sugar
1/4 lb. unsweetened cocoa
1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. peppermint extract

Sift together sugar and cocoa. In large bowl with mixer at medium speed beat butter, corn syrup and extract until well blended. Gradually beat in 1-2 cups of the cocoa mixture until smooth. With wood spoon stir in remaining cocoa mixture knead with hands until mixture is smooth. Roll into 1 teaspoon balls flatten into patties. Store in covered container. Place in refrigerator.
