PEEK-A-BERRY BOOS 
Sift:

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream together:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar

Add:

2 eggs
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. almond extract

Blend dry ingredients and 2 cups quick cooking rolled oats. Mix thoroughly. Drop dough by rounded teaspoon on greased baking sheet. Place 1/2 teaspoon jam or jelly on each cookie. Press jam lightly into dough with back of spoon. Top with level teaspoon dough. Bake 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
