LAYERED GREEN PEA SALAD 
1 (10 oz.) pkg. thawed green peas
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. sliced celery
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. dried basil
1/3 c. sour cream
1 tsp. sugar
3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Layer first 9 ingredients in order given in a 1 quart serving bowl. Cover and chill at least 4 hours, top with bacon, and toss salad just before serving. Yields: 4 servings.
