BANANA TEA BREAD 
1 3/4 c. flour
2 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 3)
1/3 c. shortening (Crisco)
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs

Put shortening in mixer and beat until creamy. Add sugar; blend thoroughly. Add eggs and beat until thick and pale lemon in color. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture alternately with bananas; mix well.

Put in greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Makes 1 loaf.
