APPLE RINGS 
4 apples
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter

Wash and cored the apples, but do not peel them. Slice apples crosswise (3 slices). Boil the sugar, cinnamon, water and butter together for 4 minutes, add the apple rings and bake in a moderate oven, 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove the rings to a shallow serving dish and pour the syrup over them. When cool, the rings and syrup will be jellied.

Good with roast pork or they may be topped with whipped cream and served as dessert.
