PIE CRUST - NEVER FAIL 
3 c. flour
5 tbsp. water
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 egg, well beaten

Cut shortening into flour. Add salt. Combine egg, water and vinegar. Pour liquid into mixture all at once. Blend with spoon just until flour is moistened. Keep in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
