FLORENCE'S QUICK NUT OR FRUIT
BREAD
 
2 c. flour, sifted
3 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. English walnuts
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift all together. Add 1 cup of English walnuts, chopped. Mix well. Add 2 beaten eggs, combined with 1 cup milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir slightly. Pour into greased and floured nut bread pans. Let stand 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (10 minutes). Bake 1 hour. If glass pan is used, bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. If you would like fruit and nut bread, use 1 small package glazed fruit and just 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
