GERMAN CHOCOLATE BROWNIES 
50 caramels
1 can condensed milk
3/4 c. butter
1 German chocolate cake mix
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 c. chopped nuts

Melt caramels in 1/2 can condensed milk. Combine cake mix, butter and 1/2 can condensed milk. Press 1/2 of cake mixture into 9 x 12 inch greased and floured cake pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Sprinkle nuts on top of baked mixture, then sprinkle chocolate chips, then spread caramel over this. Press remaining batter mixture over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool before cutting into squares.
