GERMAN CHOCOLATE BROWNIES | |
1 German chocolate cake mix 1 c. chopped nuts 3/4 c. butter 2/3 c. evaporated milk 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 (12 oz.) pkg. caramels Mix cake mix, nuts and 1/3 cup milk and butter together. Use pastry cutter. Take one half of dough and pat into a 9 x 13 greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Melt caramels and 1/3 cup milk, stir often. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked cake layer, add melted caramels mixtures and spread over chocolate chips. Sprinkle remaining dough on top, and bake on additional 12-15 minutes. Remove from oven when set, and let completely cool before cutting into squares. |
