RECIPE FOR GERMAN CHOCOLATE
BROWNIES
 
German chocolate cake mix
1 can evaporated milk
1 pkg. caramels
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts
3/4 c. butter, melted

Mix cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, nuts and 3/4 cup melted butter. Press half of mixture into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Pour caramels and chocolate chips over baked portion. Add rest of cake mix. Bake 15 to 18 minutes. Cool slightly. Loosen around edges and refrigerate.
