1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 1 egg yolk 2 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. chopped nuts Melt chocolate chips in double boiler over hot water and set aside. Cream butter and sugar well. Add egg yolk and vanilla; beat until smooth. Add flour gradually and mix well. Press into a 9"x13" greased pan and bake at 350 degrees until lightly golden brown, about 15 minutes. Do not overbake. Spread chocolate evenly over cookies as soon as you take pan from oven. Press nuts into chocolate. Cut into squares but do not remove from pan until completely cool and the chocolate is set. |
