I cut the butter in half and added 3/4 banana. We love vanilla so I used almost 2 tsps! Added cinnamon. Yum! Gonna try coconut oil next time.

I made these using less butter and I added brown sugar. They turned out really well. I didn't use any confectionery sugar, though. I also doubled the recipe. My only problem is that I live with my parents and sisters and I'm afraid that when I head off to college I'll forget not to double it and I'll have so many cookies I won't know what to do with them.

This recipe is very basic, but very good! I ran out of eggs and milk, so I needed a simplistic recipe. This is perfect! However, I did edit it a little; they turned out great! I added 1/8 tsp. of lemon juice, 1/4 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1 tsp. chocolate syrup. My alterations seemed to make this cookies even better!

Made these with the modifications in some reviews. 3/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup sugar and added a little cinnamon. They were delicious and so easy! Next time might try replacing half of the butter with pumpkin or add a little peanut butter because with less butter they are just a bit dry. Thank you for the recipe, great to make with the kiddos too.

I've been making similar version for years. Slightly different amounts and easy to roll: 1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 1 tsp. baking powder and 2 cups quick one minute Quaker Oats; no vanilla; 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Come out perfect every tim!

I don't even like oatmeal cookies, except these. They are addicting! I eliminated the powdered sugar. They were gone in a flash. The second batch I made I added raisins and craisins. They are absolutely wonderful!!

I make this recipe often. My most favorite cookie. I have tweaked the recipe a bit. I use 1 cup of oatmeal and 1/2 cup of granola...and 1/2 cup craisins. I add a little more granola if it looks too buttery. I could eat the whole batch!

My favorite cookie. I make often. I substitute for the 1 1/2 cup oats with 1 cup oats and 1 cup Granola. I add craisins or raisins. They are the best! I roll them in my hands and if the dough seems to thin I add more granola (hence the 1 cup oats and 1 cup granola). Don't forget to smash them with a fork. Yum, they are sooooooo goooood! I skip the powdered sugar.
