AMERICAN CHOP SUEY 
1 lb. ground beef or lamb
1 pkg. macaroni with cheese sauce
1 med. onion, chopped or 4 scallions, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 c. mushrooms
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. curry powder
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 (15 oz.) can corn
1 tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper

Break up beef or lamb and brown in deep skillet. Drain off grease and push to one side. Melt the butter in pan and saute onions, peppers, garlic and mushrooms until limp. Add corn (drained) and all other seasonings and mix well together. Put on simmer.

Prepare macaroni and cheese sauce according to instructions on package. This can be done at the same time you are cooking the above ingredients. Mix everything together in a large casserole dish or the skillet and put in the oven to keep warm until you are ready to serve dinner. Serves 4 to 6.
