MOTHER'S HOT DISH (OLD FAMILY
RECIPE)
 
1 green pepper
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 (16 oz.) pkg. noodles
1 lb. round cheese (Longhorn)
2 cans tomato puree
Salt and pepper to taste

Dice green pepper and cook with hamburger until brown and in crumbly pieces, set aside. Cook noodles according to directions; dice cheese into 1/2 inch pieces. Using a casserole dish; (I spray with Pam) make a layer of noodles and a layer of meat and cheese. Another layer of each and end with meat mixture at top.

Place cheese pieces on top and pour the puree over the entire mixture. Use a sharp knife inserted to let puree run through the casserole. Bake 30 minutes to one hour.
