PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in thin strips
2 tbsp. cooking oil
Salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
5 tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. water
2 green peppers, cut in strips
1 1/2 to 2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. cold water
2 tomatoes, cut in chunks

Brown steak in oil. Add seasons, vinegar, soy sauce and 1 cup water. Cover and cook over low heat 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Add green peppers and cook 10 minutes. Blend cornstarch and cold water and stir into mixture. Add tomatoes and cook 5 to 10 minutes. Serve over hot rice.
