PEPPER STEAK | |
1 lb. round steak, sliced in thin strips 1 tbsp. shortening 1 can onion soup 1/2 can water Pepper 1 tsp. soy sauce 1 green pepper, sliced in thin strips 1 onion, sliced thin 1 can tomatoes cut up or use fresh Cook steak in shortening until brown. Add onion soup, water, pepper, tomatoes, soy sauce, onions and cook until steak is tender then thicken with 2 tablespoon corn starch mixed in a little water. Serve over cooked rice. If you use can tomatoes, don't add the water but while cooking add water as needed. You can use hamburger, but drain grease after it is cooked, then add other ingredients. |
