PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2-2 lbs. round steak
Salt and pepper to taste
Flour
2 tbsp. shortening
Single pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
Med. bell pepper
Water

Cut steak into strips, salt, pepper, roll in flour. Melt shortening in skillet and brown steak. Add onion soup mix, add enough water to make gravy. Simmer covered for about 1 hour. Cut pepper into strips, add to steak and simmer for about 10-15 minutes longer. Serve over rice.
