6 egg yolks 1 tsp. salt (or to taste) 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. brandy or wine (opt.) 1 tbsp. vinegar 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. sour cream Mix flour, baking powder, egg yolks, sour cream to make soft dough. Add sugar, salt, brandy and vinegar. Knead until smooth. Roll out thin. Cut in diamond shapes. Make slits in the center. Roll one end through slit. Fry in deep fat. Drain, then sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
