OVEN BAKED RICE 
This is a great way to prepare rice when having company. No stuck pan or overcooked rice, every grain will be perfect!

1 c. raw rice (NOT Minute Rice)
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. water

Measure carefully. Combine all ingredients in a 6 cup buttered dish. Cover and bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour at 350°F.

Yields: 4 to 6 servings.

This is a great "base" recipe for Baked Rice. I've been making it for years! I usually add chopped onions to melted butter before tossing it into the raw rice. I often add finely chopped fresh parsley or cilantro (or dried) to the mixture before baking. This recipe lends itself to a lot of "additions!"
