APPLE BETTY 
4 c. sliced apples or 1 (1 lb.) can pie sliced apples, drained
1/4 c. orange juice
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. butter

Mound apples in buttered 9 inch pie plate; sprinkle with orange juice. Combine sugar, flour, spices, dash of salt; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly; sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp. Serve warm or cool.
