DARK CHOCOLATE FROSTING | |
1 stick butter 2 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar (packed) 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar Melt together butter and chocolate. Blend into this the brown sugar and milk. Cook and stir to boil, simmer 4 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; beat in sugar. Cool, beating occasionally until thick enough to spread. This is very good on white cake. NOTE: If frosting stiffen add about 1 teaspoon hot water. |
