OLD-TIME BREAD PUDDING 
4 slices buttered toast, cut in quarters
1/3 c. seedless raisins
1/3 c. pecans, coarsely chopped
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Put toast in greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle raisins and nuts over toast. Mix eggs, 1/4 cup sugar, salt, milk, water, and vanilla. Pour over toast. Let stand 10 minutes then sprinkle with 4 teaspoons sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Makes 4 servings.
