CHEDDAR CHIVE CRISPS 
1/2 lb. (2 c.) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. soft butter
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash cayenne onion powder
2 tbsp. fine chopped chives or parsley
1 1/2 c. flour

Combine cheese with butter, salt, cayenne and chives. Sift flour, measure add to cheese. Mix until smooth dough forms. Divide dough in half and shape into a log about 1 inch in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and chill. Slice 1/8 inch. Slices and bake on lightly greased cookie sheet (350 degrees) for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about 48 appetizers.
