FRENCH TOAST 
3 eggs, beaten slightly
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. milk
6 to 8 slices (2 to 3-day old) bread
Fat for frying

Combine eggs, salt, sugar and milk in shallow dish. Dip bread in egg mixture turning to moisten. Brown on one side on well-greased griddle or frying pan, turn and brown the other side. Add fat as necessary to keep from sticking. Serve with syrup, jam, honey, confectioners' sugar or fruit. Makes 6 to 8 slices toast.
