COCONUT CHERRY DROP COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/4 c. chopped cherries
1 c. coconut
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Combine sifted flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. Cream butter, shortening, and sugar. Add egg and almond extract; beat until well blended. Stir in dry ingredients. Fold in cherries, coconut, and pecans. Mix thoroughly. Drop batter onto cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
