1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. applesauce
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts

Cream Crisco and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Mix in applesauce. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 9x13 cake pan. Bake 350 degrees 30-35 minutes.

FROSTING:

1/2 stick butter (soft)
3 oz. cream cheese (soft)
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. powdered sugar

Mix well. Spread on cooled bars!
