AMERICA'S MEAT LOAF WITH CHEESE
STUFFING
 
Nice served with spice pears, apricots or brandied cherries.

3 lb. ground beef chuck
4 eggs, beaten
3 cups bread crumbs
1 cup minced onion
1/2 cup minced green pepper
3 tbsp. horseradish
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. dry mustard
1/4 cup ketchup (Hunts)
4 tbsp. sweetened condensed milk (1/4 cup)
snipped parsley
grated sharp cheese (your favorite)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Beat egg lightly with fork, lightly mix in ground beef, bread crumbs, onion and pepper. Add horseradish, salt, mustard, ketchup, condensed milk and parsley. Mix lightly, handling as little as possible. Divide in three parts. Layer in baking pan with grated cheese sprinkled between layers.

Bake at 350°F for 55 minutes. Five minutes before the end - invert on jelly roll pan and sprinkle with more cheese and return to the oven for 5 more minutes.

Note: It's easy to cut this recipe in half.
