OATMEAL BARS 
2 c. oatmeal
1 3/4 c. flour
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. preserves (apricot or raspberry)

Mix as for pie crust. Place 1/2 of mixture in bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan, spread with preserves and add remaining mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees.
