BREAD
5 lb. flour
3 cakes yeast
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. crushed masticha
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco, to be worked into flour
4 c. warm water
Sesame seeds

Dissolve yeast cakes in 1/2 cup warm water. After you have worked the Crisco into the flour, add other ingredients and starting with the water, work the dry ingredients into it, making a loose dough. Let stand 1/2 hour. Shape into small loaves, rolling sesame seeds. Let rise and bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes, depending on the size of loaves you make.

Boil and strain sesame seeds, then lay out on dry towel to absorb moisture before rolling into dough.
