BEEF-TOMATO STROGANOFF | |
2 lb. beef stew meat 4 tbsp. butter 1 c. chopped onion 1 tbsp. minced garlic 4 tbsp. flour 3 tbsp. sweet paprika 1/2 c. sour cream 1 can French onion soup 1 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper 1/2 tsp. thyme 1/2 bay leaf 1 (14 oz.) can tomatoes Hot cooked noodles Brown meat lightly in butter in Dutch oven. Add onion and garlic. Brown 2 more minutes. Blend in flour and seasonings. Add soup and tomatoes. Bring to broil and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Stir in sour cream. Heat gently. Serve over cooked noodles. Yield: 6 servings. |
