ARKANSAS DOODLE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 (#2) can crushed pineapple and juice

Mix sugar, eggs, and vanilla; add flour, soda, and salt. Stir in pineapple and juice. Bake in greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 sm. can evaporated milk
1 stick butter

Mix all ingredients in pan. Bring to a boil about 5 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Add 1 cup coconut and 1 cup chopped nuts. Spread on hot cake.
