2 c. chopped nuts 1 stick melted butter 2 (14 oz.) cans coconut 1 can Eagle Brand milk 1 1/2 boxes (or 6 c.) powdered sugar 2 (12 oz.) pkgs. chocolate chips 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 lb. paraffin Combine nuts and butter in large mixing bowl. Add coconut, milk, sugar and vanilla. Mix with hands and form into bite-size pieces, balls or patties. Cool for 4 hours. Remove from cooler and melt chocolate chips and paraffin in double boiler. Using large spoon, dip the balls of candy in chocolate mixture. Put on sheet of waxed paper and let stand until able to handle. Wonderful for mailing or for large parties. Makes 4 to 6 dozen. |
