HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 
1 c. melted butter
2 lb. pkg. hash browns
10 oz. Cheddar cheese
1 pt. sour cream
1 sm. onion (if using sour cream with chives omit onion)
1/2 tbsp. pepper
1 tbsp. salt
2 c. crushed potato chips

Mix all of the above with 3/4 cup melted butter except potato chips. Mix the remaining 1/4 cup butter with potato chips. Sprinkle the chips mixture on top of the casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in 13 x 9 inch dish.
