BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. buttermilk

Combine first 4 ingredients, mixing well; cut in butter with pastry blender, until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk, stir until all ingredients are moistened. Turn out on floured surface; knead lightly with flour. Roll dough to 1 inch thickness; cut with biscuit cutter.

Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Option: You can add 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese to biscuits.
