CRANBERRY BREAD 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped cranberries
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp melted shortening
1/2 c. orange juice
2 tbsp hot water
grated rind of 1 orange

Sift dry ingredients, add beaten egg, shortening, orange juice and hot water. Combine only until dry ingredients are moistened. Fold in nuts cranberries and orange rind.

Makes 1 loaf.

Bake at 325°F for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
