BREAD SOUP AS THE PEASANTS MAKE
IT
 
9 oz. dry crusts
3 oz. lard
1 oz. parsley
3 eggs
4 1/2 oz. onions
1/2 oz. paprika
Pinch of salt

Fry dry crusts of bread in boiling hot fat together with some finely chopped parsley and onions. Add water, salt, and paprika and boil. Beat 3 eggs and add gradually to the boiling soup, stirring all the time. This soup tastes like meat soup.
