STUFFED MANICOTTI 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 #2 1/2 can whole tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. dried parsley
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper

FILLING:

2 c. Ricotta cheese
8 oz. mozzarella cheese, grated
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1 pkg. (8 oz.) manicotti shells, cooked according to directions

Sauce: Brown meat with garlic and onion in skillet, add remaining ingredients to pan, heat to boiling. Cover and cook over low heat about 30 minutes.

Filling: Combine ricotta cheese, grated mozzarella and garlic powder. Fill cooked manicotti shells with cheese and garlic mixture.

Pour 1/2 of sauce in a 3 quart rectangular baking pan. Arrange stuffed manicotti on top of sauce in pan. Spoon remaining meat mixture over manicotti. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until bubbly hot.
