PORK CHOPS AND RICE 
4-6 pork chops (lean)
1 c. long grain rice
1 can consomme soup
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. sage
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. prepared mustard

In frying pan, brown pork chops with a little shortening. Remove browned chops to a 13"x9" baking dish. Brown rice in pork drippings. When rice starts to turn a solid white and light brown, add water, soup and seasonings. Spread mustard over each pork chop. Pour rice and liquid mixture over pork chops. Cover with foil. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
