EVERLASTING SALAD | |
1 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 3/4 c. lemon juice 4 beaten eggs 8 apples, diced sm. (don't peel) 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained 1 (6 oz.) pkg. sm. macaroni rings, cooked 1 c. miniature marshmallows 1/4 c. maraschino cherries, cut fine 1 pt. whipping cream Mandarin or fresh oranges (opt.) Mix sugar, flour, lemon juice and eggs; cook until thick, stirring constantly. Set aside. In large bowl combine apple, pineapple, macaroni, marshmallows and cherries. Pour cooled, cooked dressing over fruit. Let stand overnight. Whip cream and add before serving. You can add mandarin or fresh oranges. Serves 25. |
