CHERRY-WALNUT CAKE 
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. butter
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour, divided
8 oz. maraschino cherries, drained

Blend cheese, sugar, butter, vanilla. Add eggs, 1 at a time; mix well. Gradually add 2 cups flour. Combine 1/4 cup flour with drained cherries and nuts. Fold in. Use greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Check at 45 minutes.
