PARADISE PUMPKIN PIE 
1 (9 inch) pie shell, unbaked
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3/4 c. sugar, divided
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. canned pumpkin
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger

Bake pie shell 3 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven. Let cool. In a medium size mixing bowl cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg and vanilla; spread mixture on bottom of cooled pie shell. In a large bowl, mix remaining 1/2 cup sugar, 2 eggs, pumpkin, milk, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt. Pour very slowly and carefully over cream cheese mixture. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until firm in center. Cool and serve.
