GRANDMA'S CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. turkey or veal onion flakes 8 tbsp. butter, stick 1 c. onions 1 green pepper 1 can mushrooms 1 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. lawry season salt and pepper to taste 1 qt. tomato 1-12 oz. can tomato paste 2 c. water Brown turkey with onion flakes; set aside. Sauté onion, green pepper, mushrooms, onion powder and lawry seasoning all together. Add meat back in. In big fry pan add the tomatoes, paste and water. Then simmer all together for 15 minutes. In a 13x9-inch pan put a little sauce in bottom and add 8 oz. egg noodles, then pour sauce over all. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. Cover with foil. |
