RAISIN FILLED BARS 
1 lb. raisins
1 c. sugar
2 c. water
2 tbsp. flour

CRUMBS:

4 c. flour
2 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine filling ingredients in saucepan, cook until thickened, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly. Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking soda then cut in butter. Add eggs and vanilla. Makes moist crumbs. Pat a little more than half of the crumbs in bottom of pan. Spread filling over top. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown at 350 degrees in greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Cool and cut into bars.
